Yeah! Our Berlin based friends Blitzkids mvt released their first EP “Blinded” yesterday via Haute Areal & OhMyGodItsTechnoMusic. It comes along with a unique remix package including Dirty Disco Youth, ULTRNX, Shakes Milano, Teenage Mutants, Jeansteam and I Heart Sharks. All remixes are available on their Soundcloud! The original version hits with a strong pop song and 80’s vibe but in a tasteful clubsound. Talking tasteful, this project catches us also with a killer fashion / design concept.
Have a look and watch out for the Blitzkids Movement in 2011!
sorry for the absence! needed some days to get into the ipad.

Our all time heroes Slam started to play a monthly night at the Sub Club in Glasgow. As we will have no chance at all to be there, we are more than happy that the guys at Soma post a live recording of every session to their Soma Soundcloud.
Based in Glasgow, SOMA is one of the world’s leading electronic dance labels, and one of the longest running. We have been putting out great music since 1991 releasing more than 250 singles and 75 Albums. Our many successes include launching the careers of Slam, Silicone Soul, Funk D’Void, Alex Smoke, Master H, Vector Lovers, Percy X aka Edit-Select and Daft Punk
Soma is committed to developing new music and artists and has a reputation for consistent excellence. New artists we are working with include Mark-Henning, Harvey McKay, Mr. Copy and Marco Bernardi aka Octogen, Decimal, Let’s Go Outside, Audiofillia & Jandroide. We also have a strong series of compilation albums entitled Sc-Fi Hi-Fi and Sci-Fi Lo-Fi, put together by such musical luminaries as Luciano, Andrew Weatherall, Ewan Pearson, Damian Lazarus and Rob Da Bank.
” Slam Monopod Mix House ” Dub Techno Dub-Techno mix DJ DJset
Slam’s monthly residency, Return To Mono at the world-famous Sub Club in Glasgow, has become a staple of the ever-advancing music scene in the West of Scotland. Guests like Ivan Smagghe, Adam Beyer, Alex Under, Claude VonStroke, Dusty Kid, Paul Ritch & Marc Houle have brought some delights to the club – but the one thing that has cemented Return To Mono in Glasgow’s clubbing history has been the quality and consistency of Slam’s warm-up sets. Orde & Stuart have been perfecting their trade for many moons, and this is evident when you catch a Return To Mono set.
Our Monopod series is recorded Live from these special nights in Glasgow’s Sub Club and is usually the first hour of music in the club. So expect a mellow journey from dub and lo-fi through to deep, grooving house music.
This set in particular was Slam’s warm-up to Nick Curly, who really rocked the Sub Club that night.

Tonight! Finally! We’ve been waiting quite some time for this night. Canadian super producer Deadmau5 has teamed up with our long time friend and German dj legend DJ Moguai for his worldtour. Tonight Hamburg, tomorrow the world.
Check this weeks wednessday at Hamburg’s very own Neidklub & Ballsaal, featuring Oliver Huntemann, André Winter (Live), Pan-Pot & Martini Brös, André Stubbs & Phly. Sounds like a brilliant night out with nearly all Hamburg Allstars and nice Berlin guests.
We started to become big fans of the Berlin Kreuzberg Institut shows. They got tons of beautiful mixes on their blog & soundcloud, aswell as good interviews with the freshest producers and djs. Here you go with the an episode of their show presented by Robosonic.
As an offspring of the Berlin Mitte Institut für Bessere Elektronische Musik web TV show, the Berlin Kreuzberg Institut features selected showcases of known and unknown DJs and producers of electronic music from and outside of Berlin, in a 3 hours radio show. The focus of the BKI shows is the “special thing” that makes these artists stand out. We aim at discovering fresh talents and presenting you some of the best acts in electronic dance music.
The BKI is broadcasted monthly on Proton Radio – it is hosted and presented to you by Sacha Robotti and Cord Henning Labuhn, known as Robosonic, DJ and producer team and runners of Diskomafia records.
Two things in berlin lasted for more than a decade of rave and the uprising of the new berlin clubculture. One is Haito, the other the Maria Club. As we still remember the smoke + smell of the fire burning in the middle of the old Maria, this mix brings both to 2010.
A good long weekend to all of you. Take your time and have a chilled 30 minutes with this 7 (!) brandnew remixes by Soma’s very own Silicone Soul. All excerpts sound great and are hypno dubbed. Relax.
Finally a documentary about the last two years of worldwide explosion and transformation of the electronic music scene. Unfortunately it seems to be a bit too focused on the United States, but still a nice inside view for europeans. Check the trailer!
“It is unquestionable that the Electro genre has reached a broader American audience in the last two years. I am determined to document the scene and its participants, show the inner workings of the genre and what it will eventually evolve into. The notion to document this genre was conceived in 2008 after reading a blog post with the same title ‘Electro Wars’ featured on the Hipster Runoff. The post was a sarcastic outlook on electro/house artists in the United States and Europe, and their impact on mainstream music here in the United States. I found a substantial concept within the snarky commentary and decided to assemble these “electro soldiers”. It seems that every other day a new remix is popping up on the blogosphere, how does this affect marketing for other independent artists? Do they welcome the remixes or oppose them? Is music overload possible? What will eventually happen when all these budding producers grab a hold of a Pro Tools tutorial and develop their own remixes week in and week out? Will the remix itself become obsolete? Will original tracks have to step up to the forefront rather than recede into the background? Themes of this nature are explored in the film.”
Mustard Pimp and WKA Agency presents the “Burn Paris Burn” Mixtape Project.
For the first edition Mustard Pimp takes the decks to celebrate their 2 years birthday.
Next month the second edition will be unleashed!
Indeed, we already honored Yusek with our video of the year 2010 title, but have a look at this stop motion craze by the utrecht based trio Nobody Beats The Drum named “Grindin’”. Especially the making of documentary is a gem that made us instant fans of these funny & rockin’ guys.
Nina Kraviz is a singer, producer and djane from Moscow. She rocked the Hamburg based Club EGO last Saturday with a set full of surprises, deep house and beauty. You can hear her Tracks and Voice on Compilations like Watergate 04, Panorama Bar 02 and / or Fabric 48. Her latest Release on REKIDS “I´m Gonna Get You” is the Track I love the most. The Track on the other side “Pain In The Ass” get´s more hype but for me, “I´m Gonna Get You” is the “Hit”.
